I updated Categories to 2.21. The only change is that the backgrounder app is now optional so that those of you that didn’t like having this app could uninstall it without uninstalling categories as well. Of course, if you uninstall it, the backgrounding option inside categories will be ignored.
After working with the developer of backgrounder, I now have a version of categories that works with backgrounder that can provide zero load times for the folders. Thanks to Zataang (quickgold author) we now have an updated BossPrefs and Categories for 2.1. Zataang wrote a mobile substrate plugin to springboard called SpringBridge that allows the launch application functions to work again. I have since updated Categories and BossPrefs.
I updated categories to v2.10 and I think got most of your change requests in except rounded icons (still researching) and zero loading times (won’t happen anytime soon).
