My nephew “jailbreaked” his iTouch and wants to restore it. Being a PC/Zune guy I no nothing about this. He tell me he is getting a Apple with a gear on his screen and iTunes does not recognize the iTouch. Help Please Thanks

I’ve unlocked and jail-broken my 3GS, I can use the voice services but when trying to use the web it says ‘could not activate cellular data network’ Is there an I can run to make this part work? Data works fine on 2G. Thanks for your help.
